KKR Fixed Income is building the premiere credit investment platform. Through our wholly-owned subsidiaries, we operate as the external manager for KKR Financial Holdings LLC. (NYSE:KFN), a specialty finance company with assets of more than $18 billion, and KKR Strategic Capital Fund, a private credit opportunity with capital commitments totaling in excess of $1 billion. In addition, subject to applicable restrictions, we enjoy exclusive access to the insight, experience, and wide network of relationships of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P., a leading global alternative asset manager.
Our strategic objective?
To create a counter-cyclical business that leverages KKR insight, relationships, and investment experience, and to continually expand KKR’s investment platform and leverage intellectual capital across asset classes. To achieve this goal, we will build on our demonstrated track record of proactive investment ideas and opportunistic proprietary investments. To better identify these opportunities, we have leveraged our close relationships across the KKR organization to cultivate a critical network of portfolio company management teams, industry experts, investment bankers, professional advisors, and both debt and private equity investors that collaborate with us on debt and private equity transactions. We are opportunistic and patient in identifying investments that meet our leveraged risk-adjusted return requirements. Our role as manager?
As an investment manager, we are responsible for all services and activities relating to the management of our subsidiary company assets, liabilities, and operations. We have access to substantial intellectual capital located in critical financial centers throughout the world that helps us source both proprietary and non-proprietary investment opportunities. Through our affiliation with KKR, KKR Fixed Income has offices on four continents (New York, San Francisco, Menlo Park, Houston, London, Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sydney and Beijing) — staffed with more than 155 investment professionals.
